Baconnaise
After our recent in-class discussion about processed, unhealthy foods, I felt the need to share this product with you. An item that, in my opinion, is a disgrace to mankind, and one John Stewart says is "for people who want heart disease, but are too lazy to actually make bacon," I present to you Baconnaise. I think the worse part is that it's vegetarian. Yuck.

Ummmm, Ewwww?!??!? I can't believe no one has commented on this already! Before I clicked on the link I couldn't even believe this product really exists.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that it comes in 'Lite.' I can just imagine someone talking to their girlfriends "Oh yeah, I eat spoonfuls of Baconnaise daily, but only the lite version. I'm watching my figure." Imagine if someone make their own version of a BLT. Baconnaise, lettuce and tomato, hold the mayo.
The ingredients are pretty disturbing too. WHERE DOES THE BACON FLAVOR COME FROM?!?
This reminds me of my friend Ari from high school. She's Jewish and kept kosher for most of her childhood. When we got to our junior year, she decided to try bacon one day when we went out for breakfast. She ordered a side of three slices. She liked it so much she got three more. Now she LOVES bacon, can't get enough of it.
Her religious views on facebook is this website: http://theoatmeal.com/comics/bacon_love
It is INSANE how much americans love bacon. There's even a "Bacon Today" news website dedicated to all-things bacon (http://bacontoday.com/)
I guess Baconnaise was only the next step in Bacon obsession.
